MY son was assulted in school by a teacher and it was catch on tape can i sue for punitive damages

You may very well be able to bring a claim against the school for the assault to your child. Teachers act in a parental capacity while your children are in school, and must exercise proper restraint when dealing with a child, even if the child is acting out or otherwise being disruptive.
