Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New York

My exhusband obtained a divorce from me in September 2009. Then he reconciled with me with promise of a future. In our divorce agreement I was entitled to so much of our furniture, expensive furniture. He was in W.Virginia and asked me to help him move the rest of the furniture from our marriage to my house in New York State. We moved the furniture in my house, then he left me for his girlfriend in Kentucky. Do I have to give him the furniture we shared so he can give it to his girlfriend. It is in my possession, such essentials as washer, dryer, refrigerator, etc. What are my rights

You would need to review the language in the divorce agreement. Many agreements have a clause concerning reconciliation. However, if there is no such clause, I believe that you would have to abide under the terms of the agreement concerning the furniture.
