Legal Question

Asked on: 8/21/13, 12:55 pm

I was rejected for a home sale and pre approval and the seller apparently has returned my down payment check. It has been several months now and I have yet to receive my down payment check. I called the attorney several times and left emails and I haven't been successful in getting answers or my check. Can I be reimbursed for the time that I have had not received my money? In terms of interest, escrow or what ever? I do not know the real estate law or the stipulation for delayed releases of funds.
