Legal Question in Traffic Law in New York

No Licence

I was driving one day when i got a ticket for not having my licence on me, but the officer spelt my surname wrong, which means that is not me.

One must hsve a license to drive in N.Y.,if you did not have it on your person then you can get the charge dismissed.If you don't have a license then errors on the summons do not result in automatic dismissal, but bear on the officer's credability at trial.
