Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New York

Back in 2004 I was left a small amount of money . The will was never settled. I never got another letter . Is there a time limit ? What should I do I still have doccument from 04

Send a follow-up letter to whoever notified you of the inheritance, asking about the status. You could also inquire from the Surrogate where the estate is being administered as to the status of the estate. Last resort is to retain an attorney to make these inquriies on your behalf and to pursue collection if there is anything due you.
