Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New York

How can I find out if I am in someone's will? Can their lawyer tell me? The person has told me I am in their will, but I don't know if this is true, and this affects my ability to help them now.

Technically, until a person dies the contents of a Will are meaningless, as a Will can be changed at any time. You could be named today and tomorrow it could be changed.
