Legal Question in Workers Comp in New York
Infection from Insect Bite
I got an insect bite while at work and reported it as an injury. It swelled and became inflamed within 24 hours, so I sought medical attention. I was diagnosed with and insect bite with VERSA (staph infection). The doctors had to lance and removed the infaction pockets (2). Is the staph infection covered as a result of this insect bite/injury?
