Legal Question in Workers Comp in New York

I am about to represent myself in my workers comp case

I thank the both of you in advance..all my paperworks are done proving that I have perm disability, I recognized last evening that I never signed any paper work for representation from the last attorney. My settlement was about to go through with the w.c. approval when I spoke with my w.c. case manager. My last attorney didn't communicate with me as he should have which caused me to feel misrepresented. I just didnt' understand the wc laws as I do today, however I have been nothing but baboolzed. I am a hardworker and never asked for anything, now that I can't do what I was capable of doing and still maintaining my outer appearance I am looked upon not looking disabled. So to answer your question I have all my paperworks in order and the w.c. board was ready to settle. I do understand that my last attorney will get paid for work he didn't do, because I basically did all the footwork. He basically just submitted papers literally. I thank you all in advance that has address my issue, the truth is their is not true assistance in helping those that really deserve the help. The ones that benefit are those that scam the system, however I will continue to fight a good fight.. thanks

Respectfully, madam your attorney probably did more work than you gave him credit for. He probably did a lot behind the scenes and probably positioned your case well for settlement. Perhaps, it was just lack of communication.
