Legal Question in Employment Law in New Zealand (Aotearoa)

I am living in NZ under a work visa. I work/ live with my partner and he is becoming abusive and violent. It states that I can work for any employer in NZ in my passport? I am a highly qualified (MA and others) person with a good cv. Can I apply for other jobs and leave him?

You may be eligible to apply for an "Essential Skills" Work Visa if you get a job in your field of qualification. You may also be able to try Residence under the Skilled Migrant Category. Please forward your CV to us to check your options.
