Legal Question in Family Law in Nigeria

Adopting my step-child

I was married and had two children. I thought they were both mine. I supported both children as if they were. I tried to obtain immigrant visa's for both children. After DNA test were completed, I was informed one child was not mine. Her sister is now living with me now in Texas. As far as her Mother and I are concerned, she is my child. I am the only Father she has ever know. She is now 19 years old. I still want to bring her to this Country to live with her sister and myself. What are my options to getting an immigration visa for her? Am I able to adopt or what would be the best solution? I am now an American citizen and have been for 7 years

You need to start with an immigration attorney.

I recommend Joan Larson at 713-680-8833.

There is also Marshall Tahari. His phone number is 713-871-0000. I think he has a website.

Be sure to tell both of them that Fran Brochstein sent you!

Thanks.

I do adoption and family law but you need to talk to an immigration attorney before discussing adoption issues.

Good luck!
