Legal Question in Business Law in North Carolina

My fiancee had a jeweler engrave her wedding band. The jeweler promised in writing to match the engraving on her engagement ring. The wedding band is poorly done and the engravings do not look the same. The jeweler claims they are close enough and that match does not mean duplicate. Are we obligated to pay for the work?

Any attorney will say the jeweler is trying to jerk you around. Tell him or her to look up the meaning of "match" in any dictionary. Consult with an attorney in your area for specifics.
