Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in North Carolina

Need to get my belongings from my ex bouyfriends house.

I just moved out thursday of the house me and my boyfriend lived in. im not on the lease. But my mail goes there and all the big furniture are mine i have receipts for them . He wont let me get my furniture. Is there any way i can get it back soon as possible.

You may need an attorney to help you with this. I believe the procedure you need is called a "claim and delivery," which would entail the sheriff getting the items for you. I suggest you look for information on this and perhaps check at the Clerk's of Court's office for any forms and assistance.
