Subponeas

A friend has been issued a subponea to appear in court as a witness regarding a threatening statement and he will be out of town the day he is supposed to be in court. What can he do to abide by the law and not appear in court that day?

Re: Subponeas

Your friend needs to call whoever issued the subponea (this information will be in the subponea) and try to make arrangements with them. If he ignores the subponea, he could be liable to arrest and be brought before the court to show cause why he should not be held in contempt of court. Good Luck
