All our vehicles are in my husband's name. He says this makes no difference. Does it?

Re: automobile

With respect to family law in North Carolina, it does not make a difference for property division providing that a lawsuit is filed for equitable distribution before a final judgment of divorce is entered.

There may be other legal considerations beside ownership that you might want to consider (e.g., insurance law, etc.) and I am not qualified to comment on those areas of law.

You should sit down and speak with an attorney to further clarify your question. The NC Bar referral service is only $30.00
