Legal Question in Family Law in North Carolina

Do I Have To?

My husband, after ten years of marriage, of which ended with our seperation last July 27th 2000, has decided that I must sign an paper stating that I was faithful during our marriage and on up to this year July 27th 2001.

The only reason he did this was to hurt me...further. I in no way doubted his faithfulness to me, I never cheated him.

I do not wish to sign this...but if I must I believe it should state from time of marriage to July 27th in the year of 2000. I would whether keep the whole thing off and thump him...a real good one...it hurts that he went there...but does he have this right and must I sign at all?

thank you

Re: Do I Have To?

You ABSOLUTLY POSITIVELY DO NOT have to sign that. And although I do not suggest that you thump him a good one, he certainly deserves it. Please go to your local legal services to be sure he is doing what he should by you and not cheating you out of what you deserve. And good luck.
