Timeframe

Is there a time frame on signing divorce papers after they have been drawn up and both partys have agreed?My friend has signed his part and is waiting for her to sign hers, this has been going on for over a year,Can she be forced into signing?

I don't know what you are referring to with "divorce papers" ... in NC, a divorce cannot be granted by consent. The court has to have a hearing or grant the divorce based on a motion for summary judgment. If you're referring to a separation agreement, they can sign that as long as they agree to do so, but it should be before the divorce is granted.
