When you say 'charges' are you refering to criminal or civil? If you filed criminal charges the matter is pretty much out of your hands and the District Attorney will determine how to proceed and you may or may not have much input. If you filed a civil complaint, you can most likely still proceed however, since you have sold the property you will have need to have thoroughly documented your damages with photos, receipts / estimates for repair and the like. Also, it will be important to demonstrate if the amount that you sold the property for was less than what you may have gotten if the property were not damaged.
