Legal Question in Employment Law in North Carolina

Is it to late to sue a past employer in NC? I work for a company in 2000 who let me go a day before promoting me to Lead Helper with out any reason the next day I was fired so i went to EEOC and I express that I thought I was being let go because of my color and I won that case with EECO. Has stache of limitations expired?

If you "won the case" at the EEOC, then why are you wanting to file a new suit? Did you settle through the EEOC? If the EEOC is not handling your case, then normally they will give you a "right to sue letter" that tells you how long you have to file the suit. What did that letter say?
