Legal Question in Employment Law in North Carolina

I made several complaints about my managers misconduct around me and in meetings to Human Resources. Several other employees had made complaints as well. My employer wants to confront my manager, but first I have to sign a document written by HR outlining the complaints. Can my employer force me to sign the document. I am afraid of retribution.

If company policy requires a signed complaint, you may have to comply. The company has an interest in making sure employees stand behind their complaints and are not using them to harrass others. But I do understand your concern with potential retaliation. If you are retaliated against, you should report this to HR.
