Legal Question in Military Law in North Carolina

Marriage to a military officer candidate

I am soon to get married to a woman who is pursuing college to become a military officer. I have a felony charge on my record. Will that affect her career or commision as an officer

Not initially, and perhaps not at all.

The issue may come up later in her career as she gains promotion or the type of work she does. If she needs very high level security clearances they will look at you as part of her background investigation. It might well be something that will not be a problem. Should become an issue, contact first before you or she do anything.
