Legal Question in Real Estate Law in North Carolina
In 1976, Lot A was recorded with a property description of book X and page Y. In 2004, lot A was subdivided and recorded in book 1, page 2 as lot A1 and lot A2. We recently bought lot A2 and it has come to our attention that the Warranty Deed references the property description from 1976 (not subdivided). What should we do? Thanks!

Contact the lawyer that drafted the deed for you and have him file a corrective deed. He/she should do it for free if this was their error.
