Legal Question in Real Estate Law in North Carolina

Spouse in Coma

I am trying to refinance my home to apply for a home equity loan to help pay some bills. Both my wife and I are listed on the deed. The problem is that she is in a coma. The bank said that both of us will need to sign papers. They are unaware of my wife's condition. Will her condition also affect the sale of the house. She also owns stock that is only in her name. What can I do.
