Legal Question in Traffic Law in North Carolina

Prayer for Judgement Continued

I was given a ticket for speeding 75 in a 55 on I-85. This is my first ticket and I was wondering if requesting a Prayer for Judgement Continued would be the best option, and if so what would be the best way to go about doing this?

Depending on your jurisdiction, a PJC may not be allowed here. 20 miles over the limit usually precludes a PJC. I would get an attorney to do this one simply because it is 20 miles over. 15 over can result in a reckless driving and major insurance increase.

Good luck

It depends on different factors. You may be able to get a non-moving violation depending what county you got the ticket in. You should also be able to get it reduced to 64 in a 55 which wouldn't have insurance consequences for the first violation (if you have a NC policy) and allow you to save the PJC.
