Legal Question in Traffic Law in North Carolina

I got a ticket too, for first time :-(

Hello! Yesterday I got a ticket for going 50 in a 35, in Garner, NC, Wake County. It is my first one and I wonder how to handle it, and what to do. I have plenty of time to decide, but really wanted to ask around too. Does it make you feel like you are a horrible person and how long does it to take to get over it and start driving again? Thank you so much,

~ Diana

In Wake your options are to get it reduced or ask for a prayer for judgment continued (PJC) from the judge. If this is your first ticket, then a reduction to 44 in a 35 won't have insurance consequences although you would get points on your driving record. That is what I would do probably to save the PJC.
