Legal Question in Business Law in North Dakota

tradename

Hi

I am starting a business in importing electronics into the US and I have several suppliers in china.

my question is can I import and sell a product in the US when the brand name is already registered to a company here in the us, although the Chinese suppliers confirmed that they didn't sign any exclusive distribution contract with anyone in the US.and how does a warranty work for an imported product when the supplier is offering a 1 year warranty.what type of information i need to print on the warranty certificate

thanks Angie

No, you can't use the same name as a company that holds the rights to use that name, just like you can't bottle a drink and call it Coca-Cola. On the rest you will need legal counseling and an attorney to draft your warranty terms and probably other documents. We can do this for you, if you with.
