Legal Question in Appeals and Writs in Ohio

Twelve-point suspension appeal

I got a DUI back in April. Because of the DUI I also got a twelve-point suspension. I was required to take an adult remedial driving course, retake the written and driving test, all of which I have completed. I am now trying to get my driving privelages. I was advised by the court who issued the DUI that I need to file a twelve point appeal with the court that issued the twelve point suspension. However, I was not told this from the DMV. Is this what I need to do and if so how do I go about filing an appeal?

Re: Twelve-point suspension appeal

That is what you do. As a part of appealling the suspension you have the right to petition for driving privileges.
