Legal Question in Consumer Law in Ohio
Accidentaly send deposit on ebay, seller will not return.
I bid and won on a car, that was in Moscow, Idaho. However, when i was bidding, i thought it was in Moscow, Indiana. Unfortunately i did not realize this until after I sent a 100 dollar deposit. I live in Ohio, so it was entirely unrealistic for me to get the car in Idaho. I filed a claim on Paypal and they denied it, ruling that it was ''intangible goods''. I have talked to an ebay representative and they said they could not do anything. The seller used the 2nd chance offer at my suggestion, and i offered to pay the difference for the 40 dollar fee, if he returned the rest of my deposit. He refused and has been uncooperative and unresponsive. Is there anything I can do to get my money back? Please help, I work minimum wage and am a 3.8+ honors student. I cant afford to lose 100 dollars due to this stupid mistake.

It seems that because of the distance involved that, besides the obvious things you've already done, about anything else you try is not worth that $100.00 in terms of costs involved and your effort. Even if you won in small claims court it would be a nightmare to try and collect.
