statue of limitations

i had credit cards from 1995 when the last payment was made the contracts were from 89-92 in from 94 to 95 i was with consumer credit but more medical bills arised they told me to file bankruptcy but i did not now 8 yrs later charged off accounts were bought and i need to know if there is a statue of limitations to collect on credit card accounts

A 15 year statute of limitations on a written contract, which begins to run from the date of the last payment.
