can an inmate file his own appeal? or can i file one for him and if so, how?

An inmate is legally permitted to file his own appeal. Any other person who files an appeal on behalf of the inmate must be a licensed attorney.

While the law permits the inmate to file his own appeal, inmates rarely have the skills necessary to do a good job with the appeal. That is why they hire lawyers.
