Annulment -vs- Divorce

Dear legal:

What is the major difference between an Annulment and a Divorce....and is there a certain time limit that forces one to get a divorce -vs- an annulment

Divorce = you were married now you are not

Annulment = you were never really married

Time can be a factor in an annulment but it is only an element of proof.

Civil Annulment is different from church annulment.
