Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

Divorce and taking child out of state

I am planning on filing for a divorce within a yr and I have a 6 yr old son that is a product of my marriage. I want to move to another state and be 100% compliable with visitation rights between my son and his father. Am I legally allowed to move to another state and take my child with me as long as I comply with the visitation that is agreed upon. Thank you!

If there haven't been any filings made, you are not under the jurisdiction of a court and you can do whatever you want as far as that goes. For anything that might occur later though, it certainly is best for everyone concerned if good faith arrangements are made concerning visitation support etc.
