Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

I was never married to the father of my child, but we established a shared parenting agreement. We no longer agree on the terms established. Can I relinquish the agreement and have my sole custody back?

In Ohio, the proper procedure is to make a motion with the court to modify the shared parenting agreement into a custody agreement. You would assert as a basis for the motion that since the time the shared parenting agreement was formed, you and the other parent can no longer cooperate in the child's best interests on the major decisions of the child's life. Then there would probably be a hearing set on the matter and the parties would give evidence as to why or why not the the shared parenting agreement should be altered.
