Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

Will I have to pay CS?

My husband and I own a home (no equity)and are heading toward divorce. He has said that he is not leaving the house for me to live in (I can Afford it and he cannot)so when we divorce we have to sell it. Is this a must? And because I make more money than he, will I have to pay child support if we choose joint parenting?

Re: Will I have to pay CS?

You can always buy his interest out especially if there is no equity in the property. The problem will be getting his name off the mortgage. You may need to refinance to get his name off the mortgage. As for child support a lot will depend on who is the custodial parent. The non custodial parent will have to pay their fair share.

Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!!!
