An answer is a specific legal pleading that is filed in response to a complaint. It is filed at the clerk's office in the court you were sued in.

You are basically admitting, denying or stating that you have insufficient information to either admit or deny the allegation. You admit, deny or state insufficient information to admit or deny for each paragraph in the credit card company's complaint. Keep your answers correlated by number to the paragraph number your are responding to. Then after your respond to each numbered paragraph in the complaint by either admitting, denying or stating insufficient information to admit or deny, you can plead your affirmative defenses, if you have any. Lastly, you can also counterclaim against the credit card company if you believe it has wronged you. Because this is a complex process, I suggest you consult with an attorney to handle this properly.
