If a salary employee gives their two weeks resignation but is asked to leave that day, is the employer responsible for paying the employee for those two weeks? Even though they were asked to leave.

Re: Resignation and Employer Rights

Generally, no, the employee that resigned is not entitled to pay if the employer chooses not to accept the notice offered by the employee. The employer and employee, though, have a right to make different contractual arrangements. These arrangements, if made, are often part of an initial employment contract.
