What kinds of questions do they ask if a Malpractice case goes to court?

Also how am I do let my Dr. know I need my medical records.

No person should attempt to conduct a malpractice case without an attorney. This is a specialized field that can be lost by someone not knowing the legal procedure. They can ask you questions in almost part of your life. Whether those questions are ever admitted into the court before the jury is dealt with through written motions before the trial. But at the deposition almost everything is permitted to be asked. You need to subpoena the medical records and pay for them.
