Re: Bouncer Assault

A bouncer has no more authority than the owner of the bar has. He can act to keep the peace and to prevent damage to person or property. If the person thrown out was creating a substantial risk of harm to others or to the bars property, then reasonable force could be used to remove the person and end the threat.

The key here is reasonable force.

what constitutes reasonable force will depend on the facts of the case. It is unlikely that using force that caused an injury is justified.

I will be happy to discuss this with you in more detail if youy give me a call. No charge or obligation for the confidential call.

Good Luck!
