Legal Question in Personal Injury in Ohio

Magnetic Resonsance Imaging orders by Dr. w/out contrast

To whom it may concern,My daughter was hit head-on by a drunk driver on January 7, 2002.The O.H.S.P. took blood from defendant at hospital, and came back(2hrs. after accident) 0.267 alcohol content.Thank God, they were both belted. My daughter (17 seventeen at the time and passenger 12) were taken to the area Children's Hospital. When I arrived at the scene of accident, after she had been extricated out of vehicle, she was on a stretcher in the state highway saying ''Mom, I can't feel my legs.'' Later, again, thank God, she had feeling in both legs.Dr's only did x-rays on legs after state patrolman told me that combined speed impact - like hitting a wall at 80 mph. Her temporary pediatrician the next day acted as though her condition was no big deal, and appropriate tests were not ordered. On January 8, 2002 I contacted an attorney and he referred us to a sports medicine doctor through the same childrens hospital she went to the night of accident. Over the past 2yrs. and 9 mos. This doctor finally ordered an MRI without contrast, after I had asked for one to be done immed.Statue of limitions expires on her 20th birthday, next month.I was told by her Dr. that an MRI w/contrast show blood vessels. Not normally done.

Have you had an attorney at all during this time??? Sounds to me like you already missed your statute of limitations....

Call me directly if you want to talk about this.
