Legal Question in Personal Injury in Ohio

To get the process moving

I am stuck. I have been getting the same answers from my attorney for almost a year. I have #300k worth of medical bills, my life has been completely ruined due to an accident that was someone elses fault. I have been hospitalized for almost two months, had five surgeries and financial ruin. I am facing bankruptcy. The person that hit me has high policy limits, I just need to get the process moving. The demand letter was sent over two months ago.

I am thinking about contacting the adjuster to see if my lawyer is just stringing me along. I would think this would not be the wisest thing but I do not know what else to do. I have voiced my concerns several times with my lawyer but they always have someone else to blame. Where should I turn?

Feel free to contact me; I would be happy to provide you with a free case evaluation. Based on the facts above, a lawsuit should have probably been filed.

Re: To get the process moving

I am sure this is a difficult situation for you to be-to put it mildly! I would not recommend that you contact the adjustor-Under any circumstances this would be a mistake. If your attorney has already submitted a demand package to the insurance Co. then there would be no harm in contacting him or her (your attorney) and asking for an update.

It is not unusual for an insurance adjustor to drag his feet on a complicated case so it is impossible for me to tell you whether or not your current attorney is acting in your best interests. I have been representing seriously injured people for more than 30 years. I will be happy to discuss this with you in some detail if you give me a call. There is no charge or obligation for a confidential telephone call.

If you do call I will need some information. What do you mean by High limits? Is there any issue on liability? Was the other party clearly at fault? Were there any others in the accident?

Its not often that you get something for free -take advantage of the free call and get a second opinion, You deserve it!

Good Luck to you.
