Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Ohio

Exiting a rental contract

I am renting a house with 9 other guys. After some small conflicts, one roomate decided to act immature and start a physical fight. My question is how can I get out of a contract without having to pay penalties or the rent for the remainder of the next 10 months.

Re: Exiting a rental contract

You must either get someone to take your place in the house/stand in to pay your share, or be prepared ro pay damages to the nine other parties. This is particularly true if all of your names are on the lease.
