Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in Ohio

I would like to know what federal law was broken by my employer when they demoted me from a secretary at $16.00 an hour to a custodian at $14.00 an hour after I made a sex harassment complaint? I have been overlooked 11 times for a job from that same employer, every time they hired a man instead of me, usually a relative. It is Dublin Schools, a very wealthy suburban school district, and they seem unaware of federal laws regarding sex harassment. I have a meeting with the school superintendent and would like to know if they broke any federal laws?

It appears your employer has violated both state (ORC 4112.02) and federal anti-retaliation law and gender discrimination (Title VII) for participating in a protected activity. It would be very wise for you to hire a plaintiff's employment attorney to represent you at the meeting with the superintendent. It will be well worth the expense because this attorney will be able to make tacit threats of litigation by using all the legal buzz words.
