Legal Question in Traffic Law in Ohio
Hit by drunk driver while parked on the side of the road
In december my parked car was hit by a drunk driver - he left the scene of the accident. He was only charged with a DUI Second Offense, I was cited for parking on a roadway. The trooper found me at fault and now the drunk guys insurance will not pay for my totalled car. I just dont see how he can have no fault in this - unisured clear distance - hit and skip. I just feel as if I have been wronged. Just wondering how I can persue this matter further and if I even have a chance of winning in a courtroom.

I would sue the drunk driver civilly.
