Avoiding Probate

Parents have clear deed to home, personal prop, checking & savings acct. There is a will. How do we guarntee that any of the property and/or personal accounts are not put in probate.

There is no way to "guaranty " that the assets of your parents estate will not be probated, but you can minimize the probate by having as many assets in joint and survivor accounts or deeds. If the estate is over $675,000.00 then you should contact an attorney to minimize federal estate tax liability
