In the state of ohio, does the executor/executrix of a will receive monetary compensation if not specifically stated in the will or is this an ''unwritten'' rule

Re: Executorship

The executor is entitled to a commission set by Ohio statute regardless of whether the Will authorizes it or not. The commission is 4% of the first $100,000 of probate assets, 3% of the next $300,000 and 2% of the balance above $400,000.
