Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Ohio

Life Insurance money with no will

My husband was killed in a car accident leaving myself (wife) and 3 children. At the time all under age of 18. One of the children has now reached the age of 18 and states she has rights to 25% of the life insurance money. There was no will but I was listed as only beneficiary on the life insurance policy. Does the child have any rights to this money? If so shouldn't she also be responsible for some of the debt left? Thanks

Re: Life Insurance money with no will

Life insurance benefits are paid out in accordance with the beneficiary designation. If you were the only beneficiary of the benefits then you are entitled to all of the money.
