Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Ohio

marraige license under changed name

i live in the state of ohio, hamilton county and i am having a wedding 2/2/2002. i began using my changed name in 1996 and i have received mail and had tax deductions taken from an employer under my changed name. my question is how do i avoid the legal complications of getting a marraige license in my changed name? i am adamant against paying the courts to have my name changed since i know it is not necessary. time is of the essence. thank you

Re: marraige license under changed name

Your question is confusing. You already changed to your married name and now you are making it official by going through the ceremony. If that is true you do not need to go through a name change, but on the marriage license use your maiden name.

Good Luck and congratulations!!!!
