Legal Question in Workers Comp in Ohio

Employment law

I have been asked to resign or get fired what should I do. I feel that I am being targeted due to a workers comp. claim. I have never been reprimanded in my four years of employment. I got called in from being off on a workers comp clain on 2/14/08 and was served with a reprimand. The wc claim is about 15 months old and they have never screwed with me before. They have listed several allegations to which I have proved my innocence but they are still going to fire me. This place is a County Government agency in ohio HELP

Re: Employment law

I will need some additional information in order to answer your question.

It is not against the law for an employer to let you go if you have been injured on the job and can no longer perform your work.

There are some reasons that cannot be used as an excuse for firing you-such as gender, race, religion, etc. Feel free to give me a call and I will do what I can to answer your questions after you provide me with a little more information, No charge or obligation for a confidential phone call!

Good Luck
