If you are injured at work you are entitled to recieve temporary total compensation for the time that you are off of work.

In addition to the temporary total payments which are meant to replace your wages while you are unable to work, you may be entitled to a payment based on limitations on your ability to work caused by the injury. (Permanent Partial) The money for this part of your claim is not payable until 40 weeks after you have reached maximum medical improvement, (usually 40 weeks after you go back to work.) If you are still treating while you are working, it may be longer.

It is always extremely beneficial to at least talk to an attorney before you try to "settle" your claim. Attorneys who handle these claims are happy to talk to you without charging you and if you hire them they get paid from the money that they get for you. No out of pocket cost to you.

If you have additional questions, feel free to give me a call-no cost or obligation for the confidential call. Do not settle your claim on your on. The claims representative does not work for you-he works for the Company that pays his wages.

Good Luck!
