Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Oregon

I have been accused of stealing property from an estate and am being sued

I got served some papers from an ex boyfriend who claims i stole his deceased mothers furniture and other items which are part of a probate estate and he is now trying to sue me. I need to go to the court and file an answer along with a filing fee and i am not sure what my filed answer should say. I am certainly not guilty.

You need to meet with an attorney ASAP. The "answer" that is filed is a formal response to the papers you were served with. Your question did not indicate the value of what was allegedly taken or whether you have been sued in small claims or circuit cort. Regardless, it is important that the answer be filed in the correct form and with the correct information. It is not the kind of thing that can be handled over a website, because each answer is customized to the particular claims made by the plaintiff.

Our office offers a low cost initial consultation, and can assist you with responding to this lawsuit.
