Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Oregon

Personal Representative

My mother passed away several years ago. Her will was probated opened and closed, everything distributed. She was later awarded a large cash

settlement. The attorney who one this class action lawsuit hired another lawter as her personal representative. I her only living heir, decendants daughter was never asked if I agreed to or had any objections to his appointment of his other lawyer thus giving him the cash settlement to distribute knowing that I am the only living heir. Is this ethical? This lawyer doesn't keep me informed as to whasts going on, and does not answer my phone calls etc'

Re: Personal Representative

No, this does not sound right. Recommend that you seek your own attorney, consider an application to the court to have representative removed, have yourself appointed legal representative and demand an accounting.

Depending on how this goes, might also consider a State Bar complaint.
